During this televised event, Jacob spoke remotely to the TV production office from the racing starting line and feed them information pertaining to which racers were up on deck and which lane they would be racing in.  Additionally, he relayed any information about problems and difficulties that would arise and then relay TV’s response about how to fix the problems to the appropriate departments.
