That’s right! A film festival win right out of the gate!
I am excited to announce that Brave Are The Fallen has won it’s first film festival award. This is a proven positive sign of hope that 2021 will be a successful year. In addition to this exciting news, this film was seen by an individual in Florida who ended up hiring me to make another firefighter documentary about the hazards on the job. More details below and more exciting news to come!
Kind of a fun title to have next to my name. I am featured on the Spotlight Documentary Film Awards festival website. You can check it out at the link below.

What’s in Production?
A 2nd Firefighter Documentary
Late last year I had the honor of having the wife of a firefighter reach out to me from Florida after she happened to stumble upon and watch my first firefighter documentary Brave Are The Fallen. She asked me to produce a documentary on her husband who is currently suffering from long term effects caused by the smoke he was exposed to during a horrifying fire. This film will focus on first responders overall and highlights their struggle with exposures to hazards as well as some who battle cancer more than they battle fire. Due to COVID 19, and the fact that I am expecting my 2nd child this week and can’t travel, I have been working with the family remotely and training her sons, who have journalism experience, in the art of documentary filmmaking. Production began this last week. Additional photography will be filmed on my end in California later in March. |

About Heroes Around The World
Now that 2020 has wrapped up, the production for the Corona Virus documentary is coming to a close with only a few more interviews remaining. Editing has begun and it is exciting to see how well this project is coming together. Centered on community heroes around the world, the documentary focuses on a unique inspiring side of the pandemic story opposed to the expected drama that we all had to live through. |
